The halls of San Francisco’s Moscone Center are buzzing again as Microsoft Ignite is officially underway.
The company’s biggest annual showcase has returned with a sharper focus, a louder crowd, and a clearer message that the era of AI-driven work is here.
The conference started on November 18 and will run through November 21.
What Microsoft Just Teased
The event began with the Opening Keynote, where Microsoft laid out what is coming across the entire ecosystem.

This session highlights include:
- The next wave of updates for Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Security, and Fabric
- New product announcements tied directly to AI
- A big emphasis on autonomous AI agents and how companies should actually use them
- Practical demos showing how these tools fit inside real organizations
- Guidance for IT leaders and developers on how to prepare for what’s ahead
Nothing feels theoretical, everything points to what businesses can start doing now.
What the Rest of the Week Looks Like
The three-day event is packed with new updates, product announcements, and sessions about AI, cloud, security, and data.
AI in everyday work will be a major focus. A lot of sessions will demonstrate how organisations can use AI agents safely, automate everyday tasks, and integrate capabilities into the systems they already rely on.
Modern data and cloud foundations will also take centre stage. Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and advanced analytics sessions will walk through how to build the infrastructure needed to support heavy AI workloads at scale.
Security is a big theme this year. Many sessions will look at identity protection, cloud security, threat detection, and the new tools required to secure environments where AI systems operate with more autonomy.
Developers will get plenty of updates as well, with sessions introducing new APIs, improved integration options, and better frameworks for building intelligent applications.
There will also be deep dives across Microsoft’s product stack, including Microsoft 365, Copilot, Dynamics 365, Azure AI, Fabric, Windows, and Edge.
More Updates on the Way
Microsoft Ignite has just started, and there is already plenty to take in with even more on the way.
The early sessions are showing practical AI, real product updates, and clear guidance for organisations looking to move faster.
And this is only day one, so stay tuned. A lot more is in the pipeline, and the biggest announcements are still ahead.
